FREE Learn to Curl Clinics

Please join us on September 19, 20, 25, and 26 from 7:00pm-9:00pm for FREE Learn to Curl Clinics. Great for brand new curlers, it's also designed give beginners the opportunity to refine their delivery and sweeping techniques under the guidance of OCA trained instructors. The Afternoon Ladies Curl Instruction scheduled October 2nd, 3rd and 9th, 10th is offered in addition to the evening Learn to Curl sessions.  The instructors have their Level 1 training from the Ontario Curling Association and they provide instruction to new curlers at the beginning level as well as being able to assist other curlers with their game.  Sessions are open to both men and women of the various Leagues and are free of charge.  The instructors are available from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m each day. 

OCA Level 1 Technical Training

At the present time only two people are registered and they are both from our Ladies League.  The Board approved reimbursing 6 people so 4 spots are still available for Port Perry candidates.  They require a minimum of 10 - 12 people to run the course with a maximum of 32.  Likely, spots will fill up quickly once curling starts and other Clubs send applications. Anyone interested in participating should contact Lynn Hoey by September 15.
